The Idea of a Place
1. A pond in Broadway, SC this place means something really important to me because my family always takes a trip to Myrtle Beach every summer with my cousins and every time we visit SC we go to this beautiful place called Broadway.
2. It was challenging making the color of the pond. The pond has blue and green tones in it so I had to paint it multiple times to get the color.
3. The trees, because I focused in the tone of the branches and they turned out great.
4. When I first started I wanted to include stores into my painting but then I decided not to because it was too much details so I did the pond alone and I started with the sky and making it look like a sunset and then I made the trees using the technique and I focused on the sun light on the branches, then I started the lake and that was one of my most difficult part.

3. I learned the most from texture because I knew what lines to add or how to position my brush in order to make the texture. It was succesfull.
4. Yellow/purple, blue/orange, red/green
5. To tone down a color you want to apply a bit of black to it.

The most helpful warm up were the sign language drawing because it makes me focus in the lines and shapes and that really helps me focus on details.
Composition: Arrangement of the visual elements in a painting or other artwork
Value: the lightness or darkness of tones of color
Pros
Charcoal: In my charcoal painting I focused in the value of the tape especially on the shaded region and focused on the details like the bottom of the tape.
Pencil: In my pencil drawing I did good on the cap of the perfume, I made it look shiny by making it look whiter and I also focused on the shading region.
Cons
Charcoal: In my charcoal painting I could have added more of a background such as a table so the tape and the notebook would have something to sit on.
Pencil: I could have added a background and make it more appealing to the eye.

Inspired Artist
Taiwanese artist Shih Chieh Huang has an open mind and makes art from unusual sources such as garbage bags. His sculptures are powered by computer cooling fans and circuit breakers which are incorporated into the work. He uses dozens of transparent plastic tentacles, LED lights, glowing liquids, and many bizarre things. The way he makes art is sooo inspiring he uses items that can be laying around your house and make it into a beautiful masterpiece. He uses things such as fans and bags and experiments using other things as well.

In progress clay vessel:
1. For my project i want to do something related with gardening so I did a flower pot. I plan on putting shapes to make it look like a flower. I will use a tool to get the flower pedals.
2. It was difficult to plan what i wanted to do. I sketched many but none I liked, and then I got the idea of flowers. Once i knew what i wanted to do it became hard to create the pedals all the same shape.
3.Glazing the clay vessel.
4. My first step was to slab the clay once i got the rounded pot i wanted I created petals creating tools around me, i scratch and slip it to my pot, then it went to the clay oven, and once it was out i glazed it and it went back to the clay oven.

Mixed Media Art
1. For my mixed media art i made a place that defines me, a lake with a sunset. It shows peace and calmness. I painted the background a pink and orange color to show the sunset and blended it all. I then made trees by using tissue paper. I got a little piece and rolled it up into a ball and used it as leaves for my tree. After that I drew a stream of the lake and made the grass. Lastly, I added some green glitter to the trees to glam it up and make it eye catching.
2. My word was a place that defines me, I drew a sunset and a stream of a lake to show peaces and calmness.

Last project
For my last project a i wanted to draw something that expressed summer nights to represent summer break. I drew light lanterns being let up to the night sky. I used colors for each lantern, for each lantern I made a spot of the lantern white to represent the fire inside it and blended it out.

Final Exam Galaxy Hats
1. Our Galaxy hats were made from scratch. we used cardboard and cut them out to make the pieces of the hat that were required. After we had all our pieces together we started gluing the pieces making the crown of the had first and then making the base and the top lid. Once we let that dry we started painting the base color of the hat black. After we painted them we made a printmaking paper that said galaxy. We then used it to paint the hat's label by using a tye dyish color with purple and blue. Lastly we made spots of purple and blue to make it more appealing
2. The galaxy hats were structured by using pieces of cardboard. We made a crown and a base with the lid to form the hat. We would then structure it and get to painting. The base color was black and we added some detail to the hat by using white paint and we some small splotches to represent the stars in the galaxy. And later made a printmaking process and painted galaxy. This artwork showed me how those little details really change a piece just like the white small splotches did.
3. Question 1: Art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, it expresses the artist conceptual ideas. It can represent the mood an artist is trying to show you. Art has been in this world for thousands of years and our ancestors used it to represent multiple ideas.
Question 7:The point of this class is to learn new techniques in the art world. Personally I been trying to find what I like and who I am. Taking art class was one of the main classes I wanted to take in order to find what I like and where I fit in. I am a day dreamer and thought maybe those ideas in my head could be transferred to an artwork. Art for me has always been like an escape or something for me to do that makes me forget about all the problems going in my life. It really helped through the way and from this class I got to relax and not stress myself too much when I was painting.
Question 15: My most successful art piece was the multimedia art, I really like it because it made me feel happy and calm. In the begining I had no idea what I was gonna I just started painting the background this really pretty colors and once I noticed I take advantage of it and make it into a sunset and came up with idea of a stream through the woods.
